Mushi - refers to the ethereal workings that cause heaven, earth, and all things that come into being. Musu = means creation and development - Hi = means incorporeal or mysterious workings.
Mokoto - refers to sincerity or truth = Sincerity True Heart
Any space where a Kami has manifested is a sacred space. This includes natural objects such as mountains, lakes, landscapes respected and cared for a sacred spaces. The famous Japanese Gardens are examples of this connection to nature.
